Word 2003 - Protect Document

I have 9 Word 2003 documents (out of hundreds) that take over 5 minutes to
open up. There using the Protect Document feature with no format
restrictions, Editing No changes (Read Only).....If I turn off protect
document it comes up fine. We need to protect these documents. So why does it
work for some and not others.

To reslove this issue we must go to Tools\Templates and Add-ins, then
remove the refernece back to the old server / destination and put in Normal
as the Documenttemplate......BV
