I have and use MS Publisher to create and send newsletters to my customer
base. It works quite well and is integrated sufficiently with Outlook to
personalize newsletters, labels, etc. I know you can do many of the same
things is MS Word, but Publisher seems more flexible and intuitive to the
needs of building publications.
There is a problem, however, when sending MS Publisher documents in that
they seem to lose some of the HTML formatting and doesn't seem to have an
easy PDF conversion. These documents also cause MS Outlook mailboxes to slow
to a crawl or lock up --at least for m.
